Discovery Foundation Rallies Industry Support for Spartan Race Scotland 2027

Seventeen companies have already signed up to take part in Spartan Race Scotland 2027, joining forces to raise funds for charities across all four nations of the UK.

The Discovery Foundation is bringing businesses together for a major fundraising challenge, with 17 companies already committed to taking part in Spartan Race Scotland on Sunday 6 June 2027.

The event, taking place at Hopetoun Estate in South Queensferry, will see teams from across the fire protection and construction industries tackle a series of obstacle course challenges, raising money for charitable causes throughout the UK.

Just over two weeks after the initiative was first announced, the response has been encouraging, with fire sprinkler specialists, suppliers, electrical contractors, fabricators and builders’ merchants all signing up to participate.

Every company involved will raise funds through the Discovery Foundation, with proceeds distributed across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The charities benefiting will be selected collectively by the participating businesses in the lead-up to the event.

One industry, one cause

The challenge is designed to bring businesses together around a shared goal, encouraging teamwork, fundraising and a little friendly competition along the way.

Spartan Race Scotland offers several distances and levels of difficulty, from the shorter Sprint course to the more demanding Super and Beast challenges. Participants can also take on the full Trifecta, while a dedicated Kids Race provides an opportunity for younger competitors to get involved.

Importantly, the event is open to people of different fitness levels and abilities. Whether participants choose to walk, run or tackle the obstacles at their own pace, the focus is on taking part and raising money for worthwhile causes.

For the Discovery Foundation, the initiative represents an opportunity to extend its charitable reach beyond its local community, bringing together businesses from across the industry to support organisations throughout the UK.

More companies invited to take part

While 17 companies have already pledged their support, the Foundation is keen to welcome many more businesses and teams ahead of next June’s event.

The aim is to build on the early momentum, encouraging companies of all sizes to get involved, whether they are directly connected to the fire protection industry or work within the wider construction and building services sectors.

“To have 17 companies signed up in just over two weeks is a fantastic response. It’s great to see businesses from across the industry getting behind the same cause, and we’re only getting started. We’d love to see more companies join us, get their teams involved and help raise as much as possible for charities across all four nations.”
