Discovery Foundation backs Lochee United as the club takes on the Lowland League

One of the Foundation’s first major sponsorships puts its name pitchside at Lochee United, just as the Dundee club makes its mark in Scotland’s newly expanded Lowland League East.
The Discovery Foundation has announced a new sponsorship partnership with Lochee United Football Club, marked by striking new signage now in place at the club’s ground in Dundee.
The agreement is one of the first sponsorships delivered by the Foundation, the charity established by Discovery Fire Sprinklers to put money and support back into local people, causes and grassroots organisations. It arrives at a landmark moment for Lochee, who are playing their debut season in the Lowland League after the league was restructured into East and West divisions for 2026/27.
A strong start at a higher level
Lochee have wasted no time settling in. Since the opening weekend in July the side have picked up impressive league wins, including away victories at Dunipace and Gala Fairydean Rovers and a 5–2 home win over Linlithgow Rose, alongside convincing progress in the South Region Challenge Cup. It is a start that has the club competing comfortably at the new level and drawing fresh attention to football in the west of the city.
“Lochee United are a club rooted in their community, with hundreds of young players coming through their foundation and a first team now competing at a higher level than ever. That’s exactly the kind of ambition we want to stand behind. Supporting our community has always been part of who we are, and this partnership is a proud one for us.”

Growing together, beyond Dundee
The partnership also reflects a shared direction of travel. Lochee’s place in the Lowland League East now takes the club well beyond Tayside, with fixtures stretching from Brechin to Berwick-upon-Tweed and taking in Edinburgh, West Lothian, Fife and the Borders.
That wider footprint mirrors the growth of Discovery Fire Sprinklers itself. The business, which funds the Foundation, continues to expand its commercial work well beyond its Dundee base, and the sponsorship gives both the company and its charity a visible presence in communities across the east of Scotland every matchday.
Part of a bigger commitment
The Discovery Foundation exists to alleviate poverty, create opportunity and strengthen local lives. Its work spans training and employment pathways, health and wellbeing, and direct support for food banks, local charities and grassroots groups. Backing community sport is a natural extension of that mission, with clubs like Lochee providing a focal point, a sense of belonging and a pathway for young people across the area.
The new board, carrying the Foundation’s name alongside Discovery Fire Sprinklers Ltd, is now in place at the ground and will be seen by home and visiting supporters throughout the 2026/27 season.
